When the band The Monkees
was finished by 1971 the lovable
man Davy Jones was concern
about his career after being with
his four band members,the group
The Monkees.He needed them,now
he was unsure of his career.
So when abc had the lovable man
Davy Jones,star in the hit sitcom
Brady Bunch,Davy Jones jumped
at the chance.
The story line goes,Marsha Brady
was to find someone big for the high
school talent,since she was in charge.
Marsha recieved a letter from Davy
saying he glad to do anything for me
if he was ever in town.
Marsha was the President of the
Filmore Fan Club.
She remembered her picture of him,
signing it,that Davy Jones,would do
something for her.Being in charge of
Filmore Fan Club,she found out in
the paper and television,he would be in
her area.With the help of her brother
Greg Brady,both Marsha and Greg had,
idea of slyly slipping into the hotel,to let
her meet Davy Jones.
Marsha was in the recording room
while Davy Jones was recording Girl,
but Davy's manager told her no one
was allowed in the recording room,while
recording.Marsha bravely said, I was
the President of the Filmore Fan Club.
She said:he would glad to anything
for me if he was ever in town.
What Marsha didn't know is the very
sound was still on,so he could hear all
the words she was saying,coming out of
her mouth from the microphone.
Marsha was crushed,when Marsha
couldn't get Davy Jones,but thought
she should call on telephone the school,
so they could get someone else.
It was at this time a handsome man
stops in,and Carol Brady said Shish.
Then Davy Jones striking in his blue
and white pinstriped jacket,comes in,
Carol sees Davy Jones there,with the
gift wrapped record of Davy Jones.
Marsha is on the phone but calls
back,because her eyes,catch Davy's.
Davy Jones remembers the letter,but
also heard the conversation,since the
sound was still on,he explains to her.
But Davy wanted something too.He
said: I haven't got a date.So he ask,if
she knew someone who would go with
him?She says: would I,and kisses on
the right cheek,and he says how about
the flip side.She definitely accepts the
date with Davy Jones.
Girl, single was done by Davy Jones on
the bell label owned by Columbia in the
state of New York.Girl never made it to
number one at that time.But it is my all
time favorate episode.
